Le Caveau de la Huchette

In a 16th century building reputedly a meeting point for various secret orders, a jazz club was born after WWII, in 1946.  During the Revolution, prisoners were tortured and killed here (!). Many luminaries have played here, and the tradition continues in two venues within the 4 walls, one deep in the cellars.   It’s musician-owned and in the heart of the Latin Quarter, where you can easily club hop if you don’t like this spot.   Entrance is 9 euros for students, 13 for others.   it’s not always all jazz; gets many visitor raves.
