Eight Interesting Museums in Paris

Below is a list of nine interesting (and very famous in some cases) museums in Paris.  Use this list as a quick reference if your time is short in Paris.  There are many others not on this list, but you can’t go wrong with any on this list.  Happy travels!

The Louvre is located at the heart of Paris. It is located within the far-reaching Louvre palace.  The most important museum in Paris – if not the world.

The palace of Versailles is a royal castle located in Versailles in the Parisian region of France. The chateau is a wealthy suburb of France, a museum, and a very popular tourist attraction.

The Musée Picasso is a museum and art gallery dedicated to the magnificent works of Spanish artist Pablo Picasso.

Musée du quai Branly- Jacques Chirac, in Paris, features art from areas such as Africa, Asia, Africa, Oceania, and the Americas.

Musée d’Orsay is located on the left bank of the Seine in Paris, France. It is found in the previous Gare d’Orsay, a railway station.

Musée national du Moyen Âge also known as the Musée de Cluny is a museum located in Paris, France.  A museum all about the middle ages, lots of fun.

Carnavalet Museum, located in Paris, is a museum that focuses on the history of the city.

Musée de l’Orangerie is located in a corner of the Tuileries Gardens in Paris. The art gallery features impressionist and post-impressionist works of art.

Palais des Beax-Arts de Lille is one of the largest museums located in France. The museum features fine art, modern art, and antiquities.

Museum of Fine Arts of Lyon is located in Lyon, France. It is a museum of Fine Arts.
