Montmartre Vineyards

Even frequent visitors don’t know grapes grow in Paris. Lest you think it dates back to the kings, it is in fact from 1932. Not a “grand cru”, but a bottle makes a nice memento. The Montmartre vineyards make one side the famed Montmartre hill look quite countrified. The Clos Montmartre wine production is 1000 kg.   As with anywhere in France, the grape harvest is at the end of October.  Surely, the most exciting time to visit the vineyard. LG
