European cities are for walkers, be they visitors or residents. This store has a terrific array of walking shoes, boots and even golf shoes, not to mention casual/sports clothes. Prices are astonishingly high ($300 for casual shoes!) but the shoes are said to last literally forever. LG

Ultimate scented candles. Actually a 20th century shop, not one of those which goes back to the 1800′s. A really lovely gift to bring back, as the French are known for creating pure scents. They are also in the Printemps department store, Haussmann entrance, as well as in London and San Francisco. LG
